Haiti
We have made it safe and sound.
Dave Blundell (Founder of HFL) and I are currently gathering information in Grand Goave which we will use to write a government grant (CIDA) on behalf of an organization called Haiti Arise.
I heard of the trip at 4pm on Wednesday and left at 4am on Thursday - life is crazy.
I’m not quite sure of what to say about Haiti yet so instead of writing 100 pages of Dear Diary material I’ll post a few pictures and write a few comments because more paperwork must be done!
I’ve been reading a book that Dave just had published and this sentence caught my eye…
“Whether we are talking about the choices of a person or of a country, the global imbalance of the most fundamental life sustaining resources tells us that we act out and express to the world that our comfort and our interests are more important than the basic survival of other people.”
So what is your definition of generosity? Is it simply giving out of your abundance? Read Isaiah 58 and ask yourself, “What am I doing to live differently?”
All the pics were taken out a window while driving through Port Au Prince.
Haitians flying from Miami bringing tents.
“1$,1$,1$..”

It’s a tent nation - not city.

In front of the embassy. 0 children playing. 0 children learning.
Washing from a pipe in the wall.
This land is beautiful.
