Sometimes when I think of all the different styles of churches and the different theologies they have, I think to myself, “Can’t we all just get along?!”

Here is a decently lengthy sermon that is pretty academic at points, but I think it’s well worth it if you want a better understanding of how different churches can help each other out.

The first 20 minutes reflects on the four points… 

  1. Reformed Theology (Liberal Reformed)
  2. Complementarian relationships
  3. Spirit Filled Lives
  4. Missional (church planting and reaching people)

And how all the different churches fix on the spectrum based on their beliefs and actions. You can skip over this section if you really want…

When he hits 21:09 - he starts talking about the difference in theology in terms of National, state and city boundaries (as a metaphor).  This is a really good segment to understand who really are the Christians, and who need to repent and come back to following Christ. 

At about 36:20 he talks about what needs to be at the centre of theology = Jesus.  I love the quote, “Idols are not bad things but good things but in the place of God.”
